Last Friday marked a new milestone for the longtime couple Ryan Gosling,and Eva Mendes, as they welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world.
The first-time father radiated with joy and happiness. "Ryan is madly in love with the baby," a source tells People of the infatuated father, 33, adding that Mendes, 40, is loving her new title of "mom.”
According to People’s source, Ryan's mom and Eva's mom have both been helping, "They have both been great. The grandmothers are both very excited and both very hands-on – as much as they can be." Meanwhile, Eva has never been happier. The source continues to say that the couple are just in awe with their new baby’s beauty.
Sources also say that, “Ryan has been taking care of her, picking up food and running errands. He has been very supportive of keeping things a secret.”
Us weekly confirmed last July that the 33-year old actress is expecting a baby soon and was already seven months ahead. Mendes laughed-off the pregnancy rumors during her guest appearance at The Ellen Degeneres Show, saying, "It all started because I didn't want to go through the scanners at the airport. You know those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy? They basically see you naked, right? And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it, so I always opt out.", with that statement, the pregnancy rumors died mellowed down a bit.
Gosling and Mendes started dating in 2011 costarring in the 2012 drama The Place Beyond the Pines.
