Retina iMac rumors about its release date surfaced online, and details imply that Apple is set to launch this ultra HD iMac this on October: "Apple has slotted an updated 27-inch iMac for launch on October. Signs of a potential Retina display iMac were first spotted in June Apple's beta release of OS X 10.10 Yosemite."

Apple has not launched the new iMac on its event at Cupertino and there had been no official statement from Apple to when it'll launch its new line of iMac.

But don't fret Mac fans! According to LCD researcher WitsView, which was cited by Taiwanese tech industry publication DigiTimes, claims that Apple will launch a new ultra- high definition 27-inch monitor later this year with 5120 x 2880 resolution, which is relatively higher than the 2560 x 1440 resolution found on the current Apple Thunderbolt Display .

"That product is expected to spur a new wave of demand for ultra high-resolution monitors," MitsView predicted.

According to reports monitors built to the 5K3K specification have a reported 5120 x 2880 resolution. It also suggested that Apple will join its competitor to introduce Ultra HD monitors.

Quoted from Digitimes,

"Market trends show that most monitor vendors are interested in developing 27-, 28- and 32-inch Ultra HD units, said industry observers, adding that the Ultra HD LCD monitor penetration rate in 2014 is likely to reach around 5%."

Although, months ago the OS X Yosemite already hinted that Retina iMacs are will come along through a string of code in the unreleased operating system pointed to scaled display resolutions reaching up to 6,400- by,3,600 pixels, which could be scaled down for a Retina-caliber panel.

It might be a coincidence but Dell recently announced its new 27-inch external display with a resolution of 5120×2880.

The report said "the average price of a 28-inch Ultra HD monitor was $630 in August. Apple currently uses a slightly smaller panel size of 27 inches for its larger iMac, while the base desktop sports a 21.5-inch display."

iMac with 27-inch Retina Display is said to be launched in fall. So, let's just have to wait if these rumors are true.

Aside from the iMac rumors release Apple is said to be developing a new MacBook Air with Retina display, as well as a revamped Apple TV,
