Before Ryan Reynolds became known as Hal Jordan in "Green Lantern," he first appeared as Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

Many Marvel fans got excited when the 38-year-old actor announced that he will be doing a solo movie for the fictional antihero.

After six years, people will finally get to know more about their favorite Marvel character in his first stand-alone film. During an interview with News.com.au, Ryan Reynolds shared the latest updates on "Deadpool" as they were reportedly spotted in Vancouver shooting the film.

"We're just diving into it, but it's such a fun cast and crew, it's been really lovely so far."

Blake Lively's husband also revealed that he is more involved in this movie than "X-Men Origins" because it has a small budget.

"We have to make the most out of every dollar that we're putting on screen," Ryan said. "So you get involved in all sorts of things that you would never have otherwise gotten involved in, right down to what color the walls are at the back of the set."

In the 2009 film, Ryan Reynolds starred alongside Hugh Jackman who played the role of Logan or more known as Wolverine. The screen heartthrob was asked if the Aussie actor will appear in "Deadpool."

"God I hope so, that would be really nice," he said. "I dunno, we'll see. It seems like he's open to it, but it's gonna be more of a scheduling issue than anything else."

"Deadpool" will hit the theaters on February 12, 2016 so the cast and crew will probably finish filming before 2015. There were rumors that Ryan Reynold's character may appear in "Wolverine 3" because Logan and Wade Wilson have a weird love-hate relationship.

The former "Green Lantern" star was asked what his plans are for the year. "So far this is it. If this goes according to plan then I'll just retire," Reynolds said.

He later on clarified that he won't be generally retiring from acting, but only from portraying the role of Deadpool.
