A recent customer at an Australian McDonald's store was left offended when an employee asked her not once, but twice, if her breasts were real, according to NT News.

Jodie Marks, 26, and her husband, were at Stuart Park McDonald's in an Australian city called Darwin when she went to pay for two double cheeseburgers.

"The young man gestured toward my chest and said 'are those real or fake?'," she told NT News. "I was dumbfounded.

"He repeated the question again, totally unaware that he was being offensive. It was pretty obvious what he meant. I was humiliated because so many people saw and heard.

She says that she was humiliated, not just by the question, but that it was asked in front of several other customers and staff members.

"I'd expect someone to say it to me at 2 a.m. in the morning outside a nightclub but not while I'm trying to get my dinner at McDonald's," says the customer.

Jodie Marks and her husband, David, complained to the manager, but claim she "basically said it's no big deal and who cares." The couple says the manager also initially refused to give them the phone number for the franchise owner.

After complaining about the behavior of the employee, the couple received their food for free and the owner's contact info.

"I'm not as upset with (the counter staff's) behavior, he's only a kid," explains the customer. "It's the manager and the way she fobbed it off and tried to tell me it wasn't a big deal... And the running around trying to get to speak to the franchisee."

A McDonald's corporate rep tells NTnews that, "We are sorry that this occurred and the restaurant has apologized to the customer... This type of behavior is not tolerated and we are taking the appropriate actions with the employee."
