It is confirmed! The 41-year-old British actor is having his fifth child with his ex Catherine Harding.
In a statement to Us Magazine, actor Jude Law's representative said, "I can confirm that Jude Law and Catherine Harding are expecting a child together in the spring. Whilst they are no longer in a relationship, they are both wholeheartedly committed to raising their child," The rep continued, "They consider this a private matter and other than this confirmation no statement will be made. I ask that you respect the privacy of all parties involved and their families."
David Jude Heyworth Law, known as English actor Jude Law, is also a producer and a director. Law began his acting career in 1987 with the National Youth Music Theatre and had his first television appearance a couple of years later. After starring in movies directed by Andrew Niccol, Clint Eastwood and David Cronenberg, Law was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1999. This was credited to his performance in Anthony Minghella's The Talented Mr. Ripley. A year later, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his good performance in another film by Anthony Minghella entitled Cold Mountain.
Law is also known for portraying the character of John Watson in the film Sherlock Holmes in 2009 and its sequel in 2011, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
Law married actress Sadie Frost in 1997 and divorced in 2003. He has three children with Frost: son Rafferty who was born in 1996, daughter Iris who was born in 2000, and son Rudy who was born in 2002. In late 2003, Law and co-star Sienna Miller in the film Alfie, began dating and got engaged on Christmas Day 2004. They separated a few months after when reports of affairs on both parties surfaced.
On July 2009, Law fathered his fourth child with American model Samantha Burke. His daughter Sophia was born in September 2009.
