A breakout star from a successful Ben Affleck film is coming to join the deceptive and conspiracy-driven world of Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood. According to House of Cards Season 3 spoilers from TV Lines, Gone Girl star Kim Dickens will join the Netflix show that is expected to premier on February next year.

"Deadwood's Kim Dickens is headed to the modern-day Wild Wild West that is Washington D.C.," TV Line wrote.

"TVLine has learned exclusively that the actress has landed a recurring role in House of Cards' upcoming third season (debuting in early 2015)."

The entertainment website though cannot confirm what will be the 49-year old actress' role will be.

"Specifics on Dickens' character and episode count were not available and a Netflix rep declined to comment."

Another actor set to join the multi-awarded show is Jenna Stern who was last seen in Law and Order. This House of Cards Season 3 spoiler was also first revealed by TV Line. It wrote:

"Law & Order franchise staple Jenna Stern is entering the world of politics and corruption via a multi-episode arc on House of Cards, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Stern - who has appeared on three Law & Order series playing a staggering seven different characters, including SVU judge Elana Barth - will play an ambassador at the United Nations."

The show will pick up from where it ended last season wherein Spacey's character successfully snatched the presidency. However, things won't come easy for him and his wife Claire (played by Robin Wright) as there are still some parts of their past that they were unable to close or have no idea happened. One of which is the disappearance of Douglas "Doug" Stamper (played by Michael Kelly) who was knocked out by Rachel Posner (played by Rachel Brosnahan) in the woods. Rachel's return will mean trouble for Underwood, especially with the fact that journalists Janine Skorsky (played by Constance Zimmer) and Lucas Goodwin (played by Sebastian Arcelus) are eager to unravel the truth behind the death of their friend Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara). Janine and Lucas believe that Underwood was the one who killed Barnes.
