Ed Sheeran admitted that he wronged singer Miley Cyrus and is planning to apalogize to her.

The 23-year-old English singer-songwriter revealed to the U.K.'s Sun that he feels really bad about having once called singer Miley Cyrus a stripper. He also said that he will find a way to apologize to the Hannah Montana actress.

According to Sheeran, "I was a bit of a c-t. I do feel bad about it as I'd be f--king livid if someone said that about me. My general point was I wanted her to sing the songs so people could see what an amazing artist she is. I just worded it wrong," he added. This was in reference to the comments he made previously after the controversial 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance of 21-year-old Miley Cyrus with Blurred Lines singer Robin Thicke.

The A Team singer continued, "I said [something] along the lines of, 'You're voice is amazing, your songs are amazing, just stop twerking.' I didn't say it in the nicest way and I do genuinely love her music and think her voice is great. I don't really know what to do. I'll find a way to [apologize]."

The British singer moved to London in 2008 from Suffolk to pursue his musical career. He released an independent extended play which caught the attention of several bigwigs in the music industry which led to him signing with Asylum Records. His debut album was certified quadruple platinum in the United Kingdom.

Sheeran was known worldwide for his song A Team, which was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards. His second album was released on June 2014, and reached number one in the UK and in US. Sheeran was nominated for Best New Artist at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
