Ed Sheeran Wants To Apologize To Miley Cyrus After Calling Her Performance Back At The MTV Video Music Awards In 2013 A ‘Stripper’s Move’

The 23-year old British singer said he would ‘find a way to apologize’ to Miley Cyrus after he called the “Wrecking Ball” singer a ‘stripper’.

After Miley’s controversial performance with Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards Sheeran criticized Miley, calling the moment a ‘stripper’s move’, "I was a bit of a c--t," Sheeran said of the comments he made about the twerking singer in 2013. "I do feel bad about it as I'd be f--king livid if someone said that about me. My general point was I wanted her to sing the songs so people could see what an amazing artist she is. I just worded it wrong," he added

"I said [something] along the lines of, ‘you’re voice is amazing, your songs are amazing, just stop twerking.' I didn't say it in the nicest way and I do genuinely love her music and think her voice is great. I don't really know what to do. I'll find a way to [apologize]."

Though Sheeran clarified that he and Miley had no beef in between them, the ‘twerking’ queen was caught mouthing the word ‘ a—h---‘ while Sheeran went up the stage to accept the MTV VMA for Best Male Video of the Year for "Sing”

Still, this did not bother Sheeran, "Well, I don’t know why people were expecting that [high-five]. I’ve never met her," he told Ryan Seacrest in an interview last August. When asked about the drama he just said, "There was a high-five between me and Scooter [Braun] because I know him, and that was the only high-five. I don’t know what people were expecting”

Even though he was more than willing to apologize to Cyrus, he still does not approve of the dance move ‘twerking’. "If I had a daughter of mine, I wouldn’t want her twerking," he said. "When I first heard 'Wrecking Ball,' I thought it was a brilliant song. But the video distracts too much from it."
