Warner Bros. company continues to make some news after announcing their list of movies already lined up from 2016-2020. Recently, it has confirmed that Gal Gadot will have her own Wonder Woman spin-off to be released on June 2017, a year after the scheduled release of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Along with the Wonder Woman stand-alone movie, came the announcement that Warner is looking for a female director to head the said film. "Warners also is opting for strong directors, tapping David Ayer (Fury) for Suicide Squad and seeking a female helmer for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Now, there haven't really been a lot of female directors in Hollywood, so there were a few names that came up on the list. Wonder Woman and DC fan sites gave their suggestions on who should be heading this first female superhero movie after a long time. Names such as Kathryn Bigelow (Zero Dark Thirty,2012), Lynne Ramsay (Ratcatcher,1999), Patty Jenkins (Monster,2003), Debra Granik (Winter's Bone,2010), Amma Asante (Belle,2013), Ava DuVernay (directed an episode of Scandal), Michelle MacLaren (directed some episodes of Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead and The Leftovers), Jennifer Lee (Frozen,2013), Gina Prince-Bythewood (Beyond the Lights,2014), Lisa Cholodenko (The Kids are Alright,2010), Sarah Polley (Stories We Tell,2012), Kimberly Pierce (Carrie,2013) and Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Kung Fu Panda 1, 2008; Kung Fu Panda 2, 2011; Kung Fu Panda 3, 2015) were mentioned. Another interesting name came up as potential director for the WW movie-- Angelina Jolie. The wife of Brad Pitt has just finished directing her 2nd movie "Unbroken" which is set to run the theaters on December 2014, and is now working on her 3rd film "By The Sea" to be released sometime 2015.

We are excited to find out who's gonna capture the heart of Warner Bros. on this one. Stay tuned in the coming days as we are sure it will not take long before the cameras start rolling for the Wonder Woman spin-off.
