Renee Zellweger's New Face; What Really Happened?

Oct 29, 2014 02:46 PM EDT | By Staff Reporter

Renee was seen stepping out of the house for some exercise, the first time we've seen her after her appearance that gave everyone a shock last Monday at the Elle Style Awards. She has no make-up on and still, she doesn't look like herself.

The 45-year-old had dismissed the media when she was asked about her face before she went inside her car after jogging. According to the Bridget Jones icon, "Can you excuse me please? I have better things to do and I'm sure you do too."

Speculations on what kind of cosmetic surgery the actress had undergone sparked fire to the public. But Renee had dismissed the speculations, saying that the alleged surgery was "silly". The actress told People.com, "I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows."

On the other hand, MailOnline spoke to plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills. Dr. Randal Haworth's theory is that the actress "underwent a blepharoplasty which entails removing the perceived excess amount of eyelid skin and fat from the area between the eyebrow and the upper eyelash."

The doctor added that, "The resulting scar will be hidden within the normal upper eyelid crease which is a natural curve." The procedure allowed people to notice Renee's eyes that was "hiding behind this drape of skin."

Funny thing is, the actress is known for her small, squinty eyes which made her look cute and adorable whenever she smiles. Now, her eyes are completely different.

Last week on the red carpet, people also noticed her line-free forehead and puffy face. Her eyebrows also appeared shapeless and much lighter and patchier than usual.

Renee first gained recognition when she played alongside Tom Cruise in the film Jerry Maguire in 1996. She received two nominations for the Academy Award for Best Actress in Bridget Jones as well as in Chicago.
