It is official: Neil Patrick Harris on "American Horror Story" will become a definite reality soon. What is more, he is set to appear with his hubby David Burtka.
TV Line has confirmed the good news of the couple's scheduled appearance on "American Horror Story: Freak Show." Would they appear as a couple in one of the episodes?
The answer to this question is "No." As TV Line reported, Neil Patrick Harris on "American Horror Story" would play the chameleon salesman on the 11th and 12th episodes. His hubby Burtka, on the other hand, is scheduled to take part in the 13th episode, which is the season finale.
The site has hinted that Burtka would be part of the cast in a sexy plotline that also includes Jessica Lange's crazy character Elsa Mars. As to what specific role he would be playing, well...That is as far as the network's chosen clues would go, meaning fans would have to find out for themselves once the episode airs.
According to Huffington Post, the creators of the hit TV show first approached Patrick to appear on the first season. But he turned down the role they offered despite recently admitting that he had always dreamed of appearing on the "Freak Show."
American Horror Story, as reported by IMDB, is a hit anthology series on the FX network created by Ryan Murphy of the "Glee" fame. The haunting tales involve diversified characters and setting, namely, a mental asylum, haunted house, freak show and a witches' coven.

The actor's specific role as the chameleon salesman would be on the "Freak Show."
