Popeyes expands into Hawaii with sixth location

Popeyes is set to continue expanding its franchise into Hawaii, as the company will open its sixth location in Hawaii. Located in the Town Center of Mililani, the restaurant will replace two former establishments, one of which included Long John Silver's.

"We've got several more [in the works]," Kal Uezu, the person responsible for the first Popeyes on the island, said, according to the Pacific Business News.

The new Popeyes location is expected to open by the end of November, just in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Kal Uezu's son, Uezu, is the president of the company, the Pacific Business News also reports.

In Late September, Popeyes opened a new location in Manville, N.J.-the new franchise spot was greeted with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

"Popeyes is a very special brand," owner Ali Durrani said about the opening, according to Central Jersey.

"Not all brands have a cult following; we have a cult following. We flip our signs, and we jam-pack the rooms without any advertisement. Popeyes has grown out to be a brand over the past few years. There are 2,300 restaurants. Popeyes not only has customers; they have loyal customers. I think will it do very good in Manville I think the businesses is going to be booming in Manville with the beautiful building we built and the beautiful interior and exterior. We have a good chance of succeeding and being here for 20 years."

The franchise is continuing to expand itself into new locations.
