OnePlus Two (Lettuce) release date will be on Q2-Q3, 2015 as confirmed by the company's executives Carl and David in a Reddit AMA.
"OnePlus 2 should be out in Q2 or Q3 of 2015. We've seen a lot of people asking for a smaller device, and want to let everyone know that we hear you. We're thinking about it,"
They also confirmed that the phone will run in Android L.
The OnePlus Two will be opposed from it predecessor OnePlus One,it is reported that it will be smaller and thinner.
The company's executive didn't elaborate too much details about the upcoming phone. According to rumors the OnePlus Two can be a tough competitor among Android's flagship today.
They also answered the rumors that they are now working on the OnePlus Two.
"We're just working on the OnePlus One for 2014," Carl said.
They were even asked about the unvailability of the OnePlus One smartphone, Carl said "the supply is below the demand." In other words, the company has opted for a more conservative approach in terms of its business strategies.
"Not in 2014. We understand that our current method may be slowing our growth down, but we'd rather grow slower and in a healthy way than taking too much risk and going out of business,"
"Risk management is extra important in our scenario where we don't have hardware margins."
The OnePlus Two will surely be a powerful phone, and will be better.
Its predecessor OnePlus One is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad core krait 400 processor and Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset. It comes with 3GB of RAM ideal for gaming.You can choose between its 16 and 64GB variants, but it doesn't have a MicroSD slot for additional memory.
The device also runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat OS based on the Android platform called CyanogenMod 11S, so you can tweak the interface including its icons, general UI look and feel, fonts, etc.
It boasts a a 13 MP camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor, coupled with a 6 part optic system and dual-tone LED perfect for taking selfies. It also has 5 MP secondary camera set an 80-degree angle.
There is no exact date of OnePlus Two release date yet. Let's just keep our hopes that it will surpass everyone's expectations.
