The basketball world, in particular and the sports world, in general, are abuzz with excitement and higher level of anticipation as the National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season is now underway. Hoop fans are excited to see their favorite NBA players perform their athletic abilities and try to outsmart each other to get a big win.

Inside Hoops reported that the New York Knicks is one of the few teams who are having a bad day playing at home. Knicks Star Carmelo Anthony was quoted as saying that his team mates feel a lot of pressure playing at their home turf. Anthony went further that his team seems to enjoy playing on the road than at home. Instead of playing at their best in the Garden, they are playing at their worst level.

ESPN NY reported that the Knicks were booed by their home fans during the 2nd half of their game with the Bulls on NBA opening night. The Knicks team so far had two consecutive, disappointing losses at their home turf against good teams like Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards.

Bleacher Report disclosed that Sacramento Kings' Jason Thompson, a power forward, is up on the market for possible trade if the team's current roster falls below expectations in the game standings. The Report further added that Minnesota Timberwolves' small forward Chase Budinger, considered one of the league's most powerful bench players, will be up for grabs for the teams looking to add depth and talent for a possible post season's spot.

Insider ESPN confirmed rumors that Indiana Pacers' Power Forward David West's sprained right ankle will cause him to miss several games during this season if medical treatment does not lessen the lingering pain the star player is experiencing since the preseason game.

Moreover, ESPN further confirmed speculations about the future of hoop superstar Kevin Durant (KG), of Oklahoma City Thunder that the all-star player might return home to play with the Washington Wizards. However, for now, such speculation remains just a plain rumor until KG's contract expires come 2016.

As the NBA regular season picks up full steam and the games intensify, watch out for more game-changing rumors that continue to re-shape the outcomes of the hoops everybody is getting excited about all year round.
