TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Confirmed For 2016 As Producers Have Yet To Announce Director For The Sequel!

With the seemingly rotten reviews of the first movie, it seems that the heroic turtles are still triumphant, given that the TMNT; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 has been confirmed to be released by the year 2016.

Platinum Dunes will once again produce the sequel, and will have the same pool of people who did the first movie, including screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. However, Director Jonathan Liebesman's name was nowhere to be found in the pool of returning team members for the upcoming sequel.

Cast member Will Arnett, who plays Vernon Fenwick, is already in talks with the producers in regards to his role in the upcoming sequel, and the fact that he already is starting without a director is alarming the fans of the beloved franchise.

Fans who were disappointed by the first movie, are being hopeful considering that the Director's seat is currently open. Whoever they pick to fill in the role of God in this upcoming TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 movie will be the deciding factor as to whether the sequel will be better than the first one (which everyone is praying hard for), or worse. If the latter will be the case, a third movie for the franchise would be considered suicide--unless the sequel does a good job at the box office, which the first movie did surprisingly, even surpassing a movie that is actually good and definitely better, Guardians of the Galaxy.
