Hyatt Named As One of Top 100 Workplaces in Chicago

Chicago Tribune ranked Hyatt and its Chicagoland hotels number five workplace in Chicago. It is the third time that the company is ranked among the top six spots in the "Top 100 Workplaces" of large companies found in Chicagoland area.

A survey was done from more than 250 local companies to determine the top companies. In the past years, Chicago-area Hyatt hotels have been recognized in the midsize and small hotel categories as a top employer. This is the third year the Chicago Tribune recognized Hyatt hotel locations.

Hyatt's global headquarters is found in downtown Chicago. It has seven Chicagoland Hyatt hotels, with more than 3,800 Hyatt colleagues who live and work in the region.

The survey emphasizes Hyatt's strong values and ethics, positive and supportive management team, clear communications they receive, quality job training, and excellent pay and benefits based on the employee's comments.

Robb Webb, chief human resources officer of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, said, "Our colleagues are the core of what makes Hyatt a great place to work and, in turn, a preferred place for our guests to stay. Their wellbeing is paramount to the success of our business because, quite simply our business is all about people."

"Building true emotional connections amongst our team and with our guests is what makes Hyatt not only a top workplace, but also a top destination for travelers," said Webb.

Alongside the Hyatt's corporate office, some of Hyatt hotels are included in the honor received by the company are Hyatt Regency Chicago, Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Park Hyatt Chicago, The Hyatt Lodge, Hyatt Place Chicago/Hoffman Estates, Hyatt Place Chicago/Itasca, and Hyatt Place Chicago/Lombard/Oak Brook.

FORTUNE also included Hyatt for the first time in its "100 Best Companies to Work For," and the Human Rights Campaign named the company as "Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality."

Based in Chicago, the Hyatt Hotels Corporation is dominating global hospitality with the legacy of making guests feel more than welcome.
