DC and Warner Bros.' Suicide Squad will start filming in Toronto next year, according to Global News. Cameras will start rolling middle of April 2015 until end of August 2015.

Suicide Squad is a story about a group of supervillains that were gathered together and commissioned to perform a high-risk "black ops" assignment for the government. The rumored line-up for the said movie, to be directed by Fury's David Ayer, is composed of Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Vixen, Blockbuster, Jaculi, Mindboggler, Multiplex, The Joker, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor.

Reports have also surfaced that Will Smith (Men in Black sequels) and Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) are in discussion with DC and Warner for possible roles in the said movie. Now You see Me actor Jesse Eisenberg is also rumored to reprise his role. Moreover, Margot Robbie (Wolf of Wall Street) has reportedly been cast as Harley Quinn, and of course, it will not be complete without her partner in crime, the Joker, which is rumored to be played by Academy Award winner Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club). The latest addition to the roster is up and coming actor Jai Courtney (Divergent), and he is reportedly being eyed as Batman villain Deadshot. This is going to be Ayer's first comic book movie to direct as well.

When interviewed by Empire about his upcoming DC film, Ayer revealed it is going to be a "character-driven" piece. "I can say that [Suicide Squad is] a Dirty Dozen with supervillains. Then I can ask the question, 'Does a movie really need good guys?' " the director said. "I love the passion [comic-book fans] have for these characters and these worlds. I think there's something incredible about the comic genre and technology has finally caught up with pen and ink to render these fantastic worlds in a way that feels believable and visceral to audiences. It's a secular religion in that regards. The mythology that these characters represent - the idea of them as fallen gods on Earth - is intriguing to me. I can't wait to start exploring those corridors," Ayer added.

The movie is slated to hit theaters on August 5, 2016.
