Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles X Release Date, News And Updates: Artists Yoko Tsukamoto and Takashi Kojo Join Development Team Announces Director Tetsuya Takahashi

The much-awaited Japanese RPG gets more high profile artist on the ranks to meet the 2015 deadline-artists Yoko Tsukamoto and Takashi Kojo join the Xenoblade Chronicles X bandwagon. Director Tetsuya Takahashi talks development and other exciting news.

Recent updates on the development of Xenoblade Chronicles X have surfaced online, including the addition of a couple of well-known artists to meet the 2015 release date.

According to the report in Siliconera, Takahashi unleashed the names of talented artists Yoko Tsukamoto and Takashi Kojo recently, revealing the contributions that these artists will bring to the highly anticipated Xenoblade Chronicles X.

In the report, Takahashi announces that "Today, I present Ms. Yoko Tsukamoto. I believe that by hearing her name, you'll understand that the Xenoblade Chronicles X world isn't only built upon sci-fi elements."

He continues on to announce his confidence in artist Takashi Kojo as he shares, "Then there's Mr. Takashi Kojo. His solemn landscapes are fantastic, but this time around I've mainly put him in charge of enemy designs. His designs for large enemies are particularly great, and the strongest unique enemy [in the game] is also his creation. The Growth Soldiers which you'll probably see the most throughout the game were also designed by him."

According to Nintendo, Xenoblade Chronicles X is "The next massive sci-fi role-playing game from Monolith Soft, the creators of Baten Kaitos and Xenoblade Chronicles, comes exclusively to Wii U. A terrible intergalactic war leaves just a handful of Earth survivors trying to live in a beautiful yet hostile environment. Players engage in battles against powerful creatures of all forms and sizes using the deep battle system that builds on the triumphs of Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii."

Upon the Xenoblade Chronicles X release date, fans will be able to ride and control weaponized mechanisms in a massively open world. Apart from the characters being customizable, they are also able to "learn new combat and defensive skills or arts."

Xenoblade Chronicles X release date has been set on a vague 2015 for Wii U. Stay tuned for updated information and news, including a specific release date.
