Werewolves and creatures in the remake of the 1980s film return in "Teen Wolf" season 5 with more twists and turns like never before! Star Tyler Posey talks about upcoming 20-episode chapter, while other details such as release date and other characters are revealed.

The upcoming "Teen Wolf" season 5 premiers next year, however the release date remains to be unspecified. In the past seasons, "Teen Wolf" release date was set in June and ends in September of the same year.

With recent updates and spoilers surfacing online, it seems that creators are on track in developing the fifth installment and will likely meet the June release date. While this remains unofficial, it is more than likely that the 20-episode "Teen Wolf" season 5 will indeed meet a first week of June release date.

So far there have been a couple of main characters who have left "Teen Wolf" either for another TV show or just because they "want out". Crystal Reed as Allison Argent and the love interest of Tyler Posey's Scott McCall and Colton Haynes' Jackson Whittemore both left the show in previous seasons. As they left however, there have been numerous additions to the cast that brings a new light to the "Teen Wolf" series.

Among the many rumors and speculations found online revolves around the return of two characters from the previous season-and one of them is a villain. According to reports, Gerard Argent played by Michael Hogan could return to plague Beacon Hills again, and might join forces with current villainous characters including Peter Hale and Kate Argent.

In a recent interview, lead actor Tyler Posey talks about the upcoiming "Teen Wolf" season 5, and how different the season is compared to the previous installments. Talking to E! he shares, "It's going to be badass. Like, it's another thing we haven't done before. I'm really excited. It's cool because I know nothing about the season, I only know one part of it. But it's so badass that I would watch the entire season just for this one part."

Stay tuned for more updates on "Teen Wolf" season 5 release date and upcoming episode revelations here!
