Upcoming Nokia Phones 2015: The Finnish Company Now Back On The Game; Its First Mid-range Android Phone Leaked

After Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia, it continued the Lumia legacy with the former company's branding. But after transferring Lumia's support to Microsoft.com, the Redmond based tech giant has finally killed the Nokia label with its introduction of Microsoft Lumia 535.

The contract prohibits the Finnish company from manufacturing smartphones until 2016, but Nokia's manufacturing deal with Foxxcon gives them the right to sell and produce phones under Nokia's trademark.

As part of this deal with Foxxconn, Nokia has finally embraced Google's Android Operating System and shocked the world with its first tablet, the Nokia N1, that was unveiled in a low-key announcement in November.

Nokia's first flagship reminds us of Apple's iPhone 3G in a bigger size. The N1 tablet is blatantly similar to the iPad Mini. So similar that even the official web page of the product is similar to how the iPad Mini is showcased on Apple's website. And pretty much all the pictures used by Nokia to show its product look as if they were taken straight from Apple.com, Techpp say.

After the launch of the Nokia N1, the Finnish company is said to be in the works of an upcoming Nokia phone in 2015 and may debut at the Consumer Electronics Show on January 6-9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The first Android phones from Nokia dubbed as C1 specs tipped to run on custom build of Android 5.0 Lollipop based on the Nokia Z Launcher, Tech Radar reports.

The upcoming Nokia phone that may be launched in 2015 will sport a 5.0inch screen with 720p display. An unspecified intel chipset will keep things running smoothly coupled with a 2GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB.Camera wise, the Nokia C1 will pull off an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP on the front.

Based on these leaked specs, the first Android phone from Nokia may not be a flagship rather than a mid-ranger, but it's a fresh start for the former number one phone manufacturer in the world to join the market again.
