Just days after being reunited with his daughter, Suri, Tom Cruise found himself in a high-speed chance with the paparazzi through Manhattan, who followed him across the cities to get photos of the "Mission: Impossible" star with his youngest child.

Cruise and Suri were followed by the photographers in 10 different cars, and six motorcycles and bicyclists down the West Side of Manhattan on Wednesday, said the New York Daily News, as he tried to get them from one of actor Robert de Niro's luxury TriBeCa hotels, the Greenwich, to a heliport at 12th Ave and W. 29th St., in a black Chevy Suburban, noted the Daily News.

The paparazzi were reported to have followed Cruise and his daughter for 20 minutes, and took no note of traffic, having run through several red lights, said the Daily News. There were numerous near-accidents, though luckily no injuries, and one of the vans was even pulled over by the police on 10th Ave. for breaking traffic laws.

Cruise and Suri's driver took the pair down the West Side Highway to the heliport, reported the Daily News, and eventually got there, despite the chase.

Cruise just settled a divorce from third wife Katie Holmes, who filed the split at the end of June. Holmes won primary custody of Suri in a settlement that took 11 days to finalize.
