Sage Stallone's Death: Timeline of Events - Suicide or Accidental Overdose?

July 13: Sage Moonblood Stallone, the 36-year old son of actor Sylvester Stallone's, was found dead in his Los Angeles home Friday. "It could have been a heart attack or a stroke," LAPD Commander Andrew Smith said, adding the coroner's office will likely spend several weeks on a toxicology report before it determines cause of death. The body of Sage was found by his housekeeper.

The Los Angeles Police Department told People that there were no signs of foul play or forced entry and that reports that Sage died from a prescription overdose are premature.

Sylvester Stallone - who had been at San Diego Comic-Con promoting his upcoming film, "Expendables 2" - "is devastated and grief-stricken," according to his rep, Michelle Bega. "His compassion and thoughts are with Sage's mother, Sasha. Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever," she added.

July 14: New reports say Sage Stallone "may have been dead for days" before being discovered. TMZ  reported the cause was an apparent pill or drug overdose. Meanwhile, officials say that no suicide note was found in the apartment which suggests it may have been accidental. One law enforcement source called the room "disgusting," that it had a strong stench of smells.

Sage Stallone's lawyer, George Braunstein, dismisses the report by TMZ that he was dead for at least three days before being found, and points to the fact that photos of him at home were posted to Stallone's Facebook page only 17 hours before his body was discovered. Braunstein said Stallone never smoked cigarettes and consumed candy and soda, the 36-year-old never exhibited any signs of drug use or addiction. 

In a report by the LAPD, the room was apparently filled with liquor. Sage's lawyer said he never even drank alcohol and those cans found littered around the bedroom were "empty bottles of Dr. Brown's Cream Soda."

"Sage was a really young, very sensitive, and very talented kid," says Braunstein. "There has been no indication that there was anything wrong in his life."

July 15: Sage's lawyer denies reports that he died from a drug overdose, saying he was a good guy and was planning to get married.

"He was very creative, energetic and very full of life. We were just joking about how he was going to get married and have a fun marriage. There was nothing dark or depressing, no problems, certainly no financial problems," Braunstein said.

July 16: Sage Stallone's mother, Sasha Czak says he may have died from an overdose of prescription medicine after undergoing an an extensive amount of dental surgery. In her first public comments on her son Sage's death, Sasha Czak said she had urged her son not to have so much dental work carried out in one day. She said he had five teeth extracted two weeks before he was found dead at his Hollywood home last Friday from a suspected drug overdose.

July 18: According to TMZ, law enforcement said detectives found "several little baggies in the bedroom." The white powder will be tested but it is so far believed to be either cocaine or crushed Vicodin. There was also a large quantity of empty prescription bottles in Sage's bedroom, "more than 60 gigantic bottles, like the ones in pharmacies," the report said.

Sylvester Stallone has reportedly hired a private investigator, Scott Ross, to find out what led to the tragic death of his son Sage Moonblood last Friday. Ross, was the lead investigator in the Michael Jackson molestation case and the 2009 battery case involving Chris Brown and Rihanna.
