Former member of Spice Girls, Melanie Brown, or better known as Mel B, spent her holidays with director and husband, Stephen Belafonte, only a few days after the rumors of his domestic abuse started spreading on the internet.
Brown posted an Instagram photo with the caption, "Have a merry Christmas! #familytime #funday". The 39-year-old singer looked happy with her husband Belafonte as the married couple posed smiling with their daughter, 3-year-old Madison, 15-year-old Phoenix Chi Gulzar, whom Brown had with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, and 7-year-old Angel, whom she had from her previous relationship with actor Eddie Murphy.
The next night, the couple held hands while leaving a sushi restaurant in Tarzana, California to put on a united front.
The former Spice Girl nicknamed "Scary Spice" first sparked concern of having trouble at home a few weeks ago when she was not able to attend the semi-finals of UK music competition show "The X Factor" because of an unnamed that was not specified. When she returned to the show, her face and arms were seemed to be covered in what looked like to be bruises and her wedding ring was nowhere to be seen around her finger. Furthermore, the "Sun" reported that Brown left their house in London.
Since then, the 39-year-old director denied the rumors. "Who accused me of it, did she accuse me of it, the police, the hospital, who accused me of it? No one has accused me of anything," he told "The Daily Mail" on Dec. 17.
"You'll see all the legal letters going out tomorrow," Belafonte continued. "Everybody's been contacted by Mel's representative, all the papers, that said: 'I did not hit her, this isn't going on, that's not going on.'"
Brown and Belafonte started dating back in February 2007 and four months later, they had a secret ceremony and got married in Las Vegas, Nevada. After more than a year, they renewed their vows in a ceremony in front of their families in Hurghada, Egypt and on September 1st 2011, she gave birth for the third time, their daughter together, Madison Brown Belafonte.
