Are Katy Perry and John Mayer back together again? The duo were seen reuniting over the weekend as they were spotted dining together in Beverly Hills. This was after they broke up after dating for two long years this past February. A source had revealed to "Us Weekly" that the couple have actually "reconnected" with each other just recently.

According to the source who told "Us", "Things just needed to cool down. They aren't officially back on but talking again."

The source also revealed that Perry and her most recent ex, Diplo, were actually never serious to begin with. The insider added, "It was only ever a hook up thing with Diplo and never serious. Katy was so busy touring all last year that she couldn't be with anyone seriously. The pace of the tour was excruciatingly hard to get through. She had no downtime." The source continued by saying that the "Dark Horse" singer and Mayer were actually seen together while celebrating Perry's 30th birthday bash in Morocco this past October.

Perry's tour schedule was also a point of contention for her and her ex-boyfriend Mayer. At the time they broke up, another insider had told "Us" that Perry was "stressed about the tour" and that the couple had "been fighting". The insider added that it was "probably for the best" as Perry was "going to be on tour for forever."

After their dinner together, Mayer reportedly went back to Perry's pad in Los Angeles.

Perry was very open on telling the media that she needs time for herself after breaking up with Mayer and her ex-husband Russell Brand. Just this past October, she told "Harper" magazine that she needed to learn how to take care of herself.

Mayer on the other hand, had dated a lot of women including Taylor Swift, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jennifer Aniston, and Minka Kelly.
