After a much publicized relationship, 'The Bachelor' star Nikki Ferrel talks about her ex-boyfriend, Juan Pablo Galavis in an amicable manner.

In a red carpet special before the start of the season 19 premiere of ABC's dating show "The Bachelor' on Monday, January 5, Ferrell opened up to host Chris Harrison regarding her controversial split with Galavis. The 28-year-old former contestant revealed regarding her split last October, "It's not from a lack of trying on either side." She continued, "I tried really hard and he tried too."

After the season ended without a proposal from Galavis or even saying "I love you" to Ferrell, the 33-year-old bachelor went on VH1's "Couples Therapy" together with Ferrell to try to make their relationship work. She added, "I wasn't going to quit. "I'm not a quitter. I tried everything, he tried, too. It wasn't just a one-side thing... we real-life tried, not TV-tried."

Nikki was previously a pediatric nurse in Missouri while she was on the show. She beat other finalists such as Clare Crawley, Renee Oteri, and Andi Dorfman, winning the heart of the bachelor, Galavis. Galavis had become one of the most disliked bachelors that had come in conflict with showrunners as well as the host Harrison as he had made some comments to the women while on the program.

Ferrell also said of her ex, "He lives in Miami and he's in the entertainment industry and that's his job and his lifestyle. It was really hard for me to fit into that. At the end of the day we gave it a go but we're just two different people."

She continued, "His life in Miami was very much a priority for him, so when I would come there I would feel like I was just kind of like thrown into his life. I knew I was never going to be the number one priority. He has a daughter... But there's a difference between being the second priority and the seventh priority."

Juan Pablo Galavis was the bachelor in the season 18 of the reality game series 'The Bachelor'. He is a former pro soccer player as well as a former suitor on 'The Bachelorette'. Galavis did not propose to Ferrell. However, they decided to begin dating each other and ended their relationship on October 2014 after months of arguing.
