HTC has recently unveiled its first mid-range phone for 2015 at CES held in Las Vegas. The HTC 826, dubbed as the selfie focused phone, is another attempt of the Taiwan based phone manufacturer to offer superior mobile photography with its ultrapixel camera that was first found on the HTC One M8.

But can the HTC Desire 826 top the Desire family with its promising features? Check out comparison below.

HTC Desire 826 Vs HTC Desire 820: Design and Screen

In terms of design, both phones are housed in a dual tone plastic shell and has the same 5.5in screen size. These two handsets also weighs 155grams.

The HTC Desire 826 has the thickness of 7.5mm, and offers a 1080p resolution. While the HTC Desire 820 has the dimensions of 157.7x78.7x7.7mm and has a 720p screen display with 271ppi.

When it comes to their performance, both phones are powered by a 64-bit capable processor with eight ARM Cortex A53 cores. Both has a quad core 1GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and the other four core has a clock speed of 1.5GHz on the HTC Desire 820 and 1.7GHz on the HTC Desire 826.

Their processors are coupled with an Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM, and they offer 16GB or 32GB internal storage, and expandable via a microSD.

The HTC Desire 826 is shipped running on Android 5.0 Lollipop while the HTC Desire 820 runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and may receive the update soon.

Camera wise, the HTC Desire 826 has a major upgrade on its shooter. It sports a 13-megapixel (f/2.2) rear camera with 28mm lens, BSI sensor, and LED flash. While its front camera features a 4-UltraPixel snapper.

On the other hand, the HTC Desire 820 sports a 13 mega pixels rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, HDR, HD video and image recording and an 8MP front camera.

The HTC Desire 820 is priced at around $350, while the HTC Desire 826 price has not been announced yet.
