Wedding bells are ringing in Hollywood! Future Mr. and Mrs. Penn were seen stepping out together on January 5, Monday. The bride- and groom-to-be, Charlize Theron and Sean Penn, were photographed together for the first time since news broke out of their engagement on the New Year.
The 39-year-old "Mad Max: Fury Road" star was seen donning a low-cut black dress and a long matching coat and her fiancé, 54-year-old Academy Award winning actor, was looking very sharp wearing a white button-up shirt and a suit. The couple had just come out from Craig's Restaurant in West Hollywood.
Just last month, "Us Weekly" broke out the news that the couple were actually engaged secretly. A source had previously told "Us" that the duo had "decided to take their relationship to the next level." Penn and Theron had just started dating in early 2014 and now they are engaged one year after being together.
Both parties have yet to confirm to the public this news. However, this is not stopping their family to give their approval. Just last October, Penn's daughter Dylan was very happy about her dad dating Theron . She told "Us Weekly" at the Dsquared2 party in Hollywood, "She's awesome." The 23-year-old model continued, "She's great and they're amazing together. As long as my dad's happy, I'm happy for both of them." She also added, "She's the only woman since my mom who can shut my dad up. The only woman! That is a f---ing challenge so...She's a powerhouse."
This will be Theron's first marriage. In 2010, she broke up with her boyfriend of 9 years, Stuart Townsend. For Penn, it will be his third marriage, after divorcing Madonna and Robin Wright in 1989 and 2010 respectively. Penn had two children with Wright: daughter named Dylan Frances, who was born on 1991 and a son named Hopper Jack, who was born on 1993.
