Lady Gaga Becomes La Chameleon in First Movie Role, "Machete Kills"

Pop singer Lady Gaga confirmed that her first film role will be in the second installment in director Robert Rodriguez' "Machete" films, this one called "Machete Kills."

Rodriguez even released the first photo of Lady Gaga, born Stefani Germanotta, which revealed that the singer will play a character called La Chameleon, the director confirmed via his official Twitter. Lady Gaga and several of her "Machete Kills" costars confirmed the film role via their Twitter handles as well.

Rodriguez said via his Twitter: "I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!"

Lady Gaga then confirmed via her Twitter, which has well over 27 million followers, "Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS... IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane."

"Machete Kills" will also star Charlie Sheen as the President of the United States, Danny Trejo as the titular character Machete, Mel Gibson, Sofia Vergara, and Michelle Rodriguez, who returns to the franchise once again with costar Jessica Alba, reported Reuters. The film is set for a 2013 release.
