As Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood takes hold of Presidency, critics are saying that this may not be a good sign for "House of Cards" fans after all.

The fast-paced "House of Cards" seems to be running out of story to tell as the main character Frank Underwood has made it to the White House no less than two seasons. "House of Cards" season 3 could be the last as speculations reveal there isn't anywhere more to go for Kevin Spacey's character but down.

Frank Underwood takes over the White House within "House of Cards" season 2 as it opens with him about to be sworn into Vice Presidency and comes to a close leaving Kevin Spacy as President Frank Underwood. With these developments in one season alone, speculations to the upcoming "House of Cards" season 3 say that this will probably the last chapter.

Apart from not hearing renewal news from its producers, the lifespan of Frank Underwood's career seem to be relatively short. With everything that happened in "House of Cards" season 2, President Frank Underwood is projected to lose his foothold of the post as fast as he has taken hold of it.

Towards the end of "House of Cards" season 2 (spoilers ahead), Kevin Spacey's Vice President Frank Underwood manages to make Michel Gill's President Garrett Walker to resign from his post. Thereby allowing Vice President Frank Underwood to assume the Head of State role. But he did so in a number of devious maneuvers that will most likely bite back come "House of Cards" season 3. And when you get your goal by Season 2, especially becoming President of the United States of America, there isn't any other way but to go down.

"House of Cards" season 3 was renewed about 10 days before "House of Cards" season 2 premiered. This means that while fans haven't heard renewal updates yet, there's still a chance that "House of Cards" season 4 might happen. Although again, if President Frank Underwood is set to lose his presidency by "House of Cards" season 3, there's nothing more to look forward to for "House of Cards" season 4.

"House of Cards" season 3 premiers on February 27, 2015.
