Marvel's ‘Daredevil’ Release Date Finally Set For April 2015; Plot And Cast Details Reveal A ‘Very Unique Look At Hell’s Kitchen In New York’

The blind superhero comes this year at Marvel and Netflix announces the release date for "Daredevil", and it isn't in May reports earlier indicated. Here are the available plot, characters and other details unleashed so far.

First and foremost is the release date for Marvel's "Daredevil". According to early speculations after development and production news, Marvel's "Daredevil" was supposedly to premier in May 2015. However, recent and official announcement reveal that Marvel's "Daredevil" will come earlier than expected, specifically by April 10, 2015. This release date for Marvel's "Daredevil" of course comes to where Netflix is available.

Portraying the lead character the Daredevil, who by the day is known as Matt Murdock is "Boardwalk Empire" star Charlie Cox. He is also known for his movie role as Tristan Thorne in the Neil Gaiman film adaptation of the novel "Stardust". Other characters come Marvel's "Daredevil" release date include Deborah Ann Woll ("True Blood"), Elden Henson ("Mighty Ducks"), Ayelet Zurer ("Nina's Tragedies"), Rosario Dawson ("Seven Pounds"), and Vincent D'Onofrio ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent") who will portray the main villain, Wilson Fisk also known as the Kingpin.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jeph Loeb of Marvel shares, "Fisk has very many different aspects so it's not all, 'I want to conquer the city and make a lot of money'. In our story, we tell the story of how he met his wife Vanessa and how they fell in love-our antagonist actually has a love story."

Marvel's "Daredevil" is a series that tells the story of not only Matt Murdock or the Daredevil in his conquest to make the streets safe, but the character of the villain, Kingpin as well. According to creators, although Marvel's "Daredevil" is a superhero series and is part of the Marvel cinematic universe, the story-telling will be more true-to-life than fantasy.

Loeb explained further and said, "It's a very unique look at Hell's Kitchen in New York, where Matt Murdock grew up and continues to defend it from people who would harm the people who life there."

The 13-episode Marvel's "Daredevil" release date comes in April 10, 2015 on Netflix.
