Marvel's "Agent Carter" unleashes its first and second episode, showcasing the talent of lead actress Hayley Atwell. Critics review season 1, revealing a "promising new show" for ABC.

Episode 1 "Now is Not the End" and episode 2 titled "Bridge and Tunnel" have just been released to the anticipating fans of another Marvel masterpiece early this week and there isn't anything but positive reviews.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, "Focusing on Peggy Carter as a person first and an action hero second makes 'Marvel's Agent Carter' a winning, stylish drama with bursts of excitement and an undercurrent of cheeky fun." Marvel's "Agent Carter" began with a few scenes from "Captain America: The First Avenger", which largely connects the movie and this series as it does occur in one single universe. Episode 1 and 2 both showcase the beautiful 1940s setting and feel of the series, showing the time right after World War 2. Hayley Atwell fits in well with the setting, as she has reprised the role of Peggy Carter from the "Avengers" movie to this TV series.

Digital Spy said that "Agent Carter" lead actress was "superb in spy caper".

Marvel's "Agent Carter" episode 1 titled "Now is Not the End" showed how Peggy Carter picked up her life after what seemed like the death of Steve Rogers. Here, audiences are re-introduced to "The Avengers" household names like Howard Stark, and Edwin Jarvis.

Episode 2 titled "Bridge and Tunnel" showcases the dedication of Peggy Carter in accomplishing her mission, including searching for the truck with the weapons.

Marvel's "Agent Carter" season 1 episode 3 titled "Time and Tide" premieres on January 13, 2015.
