Avengers actor Mark Ruffalo has expressed his delight over Benedict Cumberbatch being cast as the main character in Marvel's Doctor Strange movie.

At the recent Golden Globe Awards, the actor was asked by MTV if he was excited that his fellow Golden Globe nominee Benedict Cumberbatch is finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Strange. While he admits that he hasn't know the actor very well yet, he offered Cumberbatch praises saying that the actor's casting was "great" and "amazing" adding "He's really good. He's not doing so bad."

While the two won't sharing a Marvel film anytime soon, Ruffalo appears in this year's Avengers: Age of Ultron reprising his role as The Hulk, while Benedict Cumberbatch will prepare for his arrival in 2016 as the sorcerer supreme in Doctor Strange. The two are expected to meet in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War Part I.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will be the first Marvel movie to be released this year on May 1, followed shortly by Ant Man on July 17 starring Paul Rudd playing the title role.

Here's the rest of the Marvel movies expected up until 2019:
