Another good news on the start of the year! "The New Girl" actress Zooey Deschanel is currently pregnant and expecting her first baby with her boyfriend Jacob Pechenik. This was confirmed by her rep to "Us Weekly".
The 34-year-old actress, who plays one of the main characters of the series "The New Girl", is happily anticipating the arrival of their first baby this summer, together with her 42-year-old producer boyfriend Pechenik.
Last August, "Us Weekly" had confirmed that the duo were dating, right after Zooey Deschanel had broken up with her screenwriter boyfriend Jamie Linden. Deschanel and Linden were together for two years. The sme month after hey ended their relationship, Deschanel was seen with Pechenik on the red carpet debut of the 2014 Emmys at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
Previously, Deschanel was married to the lead vocalist of "Death Cab for Cutie", Ben Gibbard. They got divorced in 2012.
Currently, Deschanel's pregnancy overlaps with her big sister, "Bones" star Emily Deschanel. Emily is expecting her second baby with her husband David Hornsby.
Emily said in an interview with "Us Weekly" just last month that she is handling her pregnancy well. She revealed, "I work with a nutritionist to make sure I have the protein that I need." Emily also added that she was craving lemonade on her pregnancy. She said, "It's so weird. I just get thirsty. You have to drink more water and I can only drink so much water. I used to drink a ton of [fluids] and now I've hit my limit so I think of a variety. Once I get thirsty, I'll want lemonade or a sparkling water. Maybe it is citrus fruits!"
The newborn kids of Emily and Zooey will have a brother and a cousin named Harry, who is a 3 year-old son of Emily, born on September 2011.
