Chas Handler (Charles Halford) is doing an amazing job assisting his friend John Constantine (Matt Ryan) in battling the demons scattered in this globe. The burly man have been with the supernatural detective ever since God knows when and whenever things get too rough, he arrives at the right place, at the right time. While Constantine seems to be the more interesting character, make no mistake because even Chas has his own story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. And according to a "Constantine" episode guide from Halford himself, you will discover that next week.

Talking to Blastr, the former "True Detective" star said Chas' history will be explored on the next episode titled "Quid Pro Quo." The backstory will include his wife and how he met John Constantine.

"The next episode, episode 10, is a lot of Chas' backstory," said Halford when asked for a "Constantine" episode guide.

"We find out where he gained his ability, how John is involved in that, and we meet his family and find out what happened there. You find out how he became estranged from his wife, and meet his daughter. It is pretty removed from the comics, where Chas is mortal and John tries to keep him away from the action to keep him alive."

However, Halford cleared "Constantine" episode 10 might not feature the backstory involving his character's "crazy origin involving a grotesque mother, an evil monkey and Constantine's seduction of that monkey." This material is one of the most liked Chas story in the comics world.

"I talked to [showrunner Daniel Cerone] about it, and we'd all love to do it, but I don't think that's a television story. It is such a great story, it'd be great if everyone who watched the show read that story. It really sums up that character, the way John manipulates the situation. It makes good sense for their relationship and sets him and Chas on a good story."
