Finally, more news about "Beauty and the Beast" live-action movie! And this time, Hermione Granger is joining the Disney magic!

"Harry Potter" star Emma Watson leads the Disney live-animation of "Beauty and the Beast" as the bookish Belle, and will soon don that puffy yellow gown. Known for portraying the powerful wizard Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" franchise, Emma Watson reveals the news in her official Facebook page.

She said, "I'm finally able to tell you... that I will be playing Belle in Disney's new live-action Beauty and the Beast!" Emma Watson posted. "It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There.' My six-year-old self is on the ceiling-heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons."

Apart from her role as the muggle-born but undeniably a powerful witch Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" franchise, Emma Watson is also known for other films such as "Perks of Being a Wallflower" and "The Bling Ring". She has also made headlines from her speech as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador when she campaigned for HeForShe last year.

It was a year ago since news of the live-action "Beauty and the Beast" film surfaced online, which will of course be based on the 1991 animation of the same title. This retelling follows the live-action adaptation of "Maleficent" in 2014 and the upcoming "Cinderella", coming this March 2015.

To date, only Emma Watson has been officially casted in the Disney live-action "Beauty and the Beast". Although there have been speculations on who will take on the role of Beast, nothing yet has been officially announced. Among the actors rumored to be in the running to portray the beast includes Chris Pine, and "Game of Thrones" Jason Momoa.
