Blake Lively news reported how the Preserve founder has joined an anti sexual exploitation movement called "My Life My Choice". According to a report from Us Weekly, the new mom is dedicated to reaching out to young female victims of sexual abuse and trafficking.

It was when Blake Lively launched Preserve that people got to see her philanthropic side, as the lifestyle website also featured charitable works that she supports alongside fashion and food features.

For her participation in "My Life My Choice", the "Gossip Girl" actress aims to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of adolescents in the United States.

Even though Blake Lively is busy with Preserve, her upcoming films, and new baby with husband Ryan Reynolds, the blond stunner took time to appear in an anti-sexual exploitation documentary entitled "A Path Appears". The PBS show is part of Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn's book "A Path Appears: Transforming Lives, Creating Opportunity".

Along with other celebrities who went to different areas worldwide in hopes of ending gender inequality, Blake Lively went to Boston, Massachusetts to promote the advocacy.

While filming, the 27-year-old admitted that she was shocked at how sex trafficking was happening right inside the United States.

"I thought of sex trafficking as something that happened elsewhere," Blake Lively expressed.

"You can't fathom that this is sort of a prevalent issue, because where are these girls coming from?"

"To see it happening in the United States, it seems sort of impossible," Blake Lively added.

The TV and movie star wishes that the influence of celebrities like her will help raise awareness towards the issue. As a mother to a newly-born daughter, Blake Lively also hopes to comfort those who have been victims of sexual exploitation.

"The most powerful thing is for women not just to be the beneficiaries of the change, but to be agents of it," she explained.

"We're not going to save all the children overnight, but these women will raise their children to be more educated, to be more aware. And it breaks the cycle."
