Aaron Hernadez’ Fiancee Could Obtain Immunity In Exchange Of Her Testimony

In a turn of events for the highly publicized Aaron Hernandez murder trial, Judge E. Susan Garsh supported a petition to grant Shayana Jenkins immunity in exchange for her testimony. If the petition is granted, she may need to give a statement against her fiancé.

According to Sports Yahoo, Shayanna Jenkins have been firm and constant in supporting Aaron Hernandez's family, and although the petition for her to become a witness is not yet final, there is a possibility for her to agree in order to escape penalty for a perjury case where she allegedly lied under oath.

Aaron Hernandez is facing murder charge for allegedly killing Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was shot on the morning of June 17, 2013. Odin Lloyd is the boyfriend of Shayana Jenkin's younger sister and prosecutors believed that the athlete's fiancee knew something of what transpired during that time.

Hernandez and Jenkins have been together since their high school days, but their relationship was never a smooth sailing one.

They have a child together and the athlete was one of the highest-paid players of the New England Patriots. Things seemed to be looking up, up until Aaron Hernandez's murder trial.

According to Espn, Shayana Jenkins could face possible jail time for lying to authorities about where she put the box in the garage that may have contained evidence. She had said she doesn't know what she did to those boxes.

Prosecutors are looking forward to Jenkins taking part in the hearing to shed some light on what happened.

To this day, Shayana Jenkins still lives in the couple's shared mansion with their 2-year-old daughter. Jenkins is oftentimes seen in court sitting with Aaron Hernandez's family, The couple has also been seen exchanging smiles and even share some jokes in court.

The gun used in the alleged murder was never found. The trial on Aaron Hernandez is set to resume after the delays caused by extreme snow storms.
