'Bladestorm: Nightmare' Release Date Set For March 2015; [VIDEO] Watch The Epic Battle And Gameplay Details Available For PlayStation

Among Sony's latest video games announcement includes Koei's remake of "Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War" titled "Bladestorm: Nightmare." As release date draws near, here are the gameplay details available so far.

First up is the release date. "Bladestorm: Nightmare" release date has already been delayed two weeks, with a final launch of March 20, 2015. Although the latest Sony announcement puts "Bladestorm: Nightmare" release date at March 17, the official Koei site sets the premiere at three days later.

According to the official Youtube page of Koei Tecmo Europe Ltd., "'Bladestorm: Nightmare' is a strategy game where the player takes the role of a mercenary and chooses to fight either for England or for France in missions inspired by real events and battles of the era dubbed 'the Hundred Years War' (1337-1453)."

A remake of the 2007 video game "Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War" released for PS3 and Xbox 360, fans are anticipating the changes and upgrades of "Bladestorm: Nightmare" upon the release date.

"Revisiting one of the lengthiest and most politically unstable periods in European history, Omega Force has developed this title in a way that allows the player to assume command of different kinds of army units, while it also offers them the opportunity to develop their own unique character, increase their fame, gold, and army and complete various missions irrespective of sides and loyalty," according to the description.

"Bladestorm: Nightmare" gameplay unleashes a Nightmare system, where missions arise basically to battle monsters, following a specific storyline. Apart from a number of missions available for gamers, there are also various monster types that not only involve skill but also strategy to defeat. Equipment such as weapons and hiring troops are also among the many new features come "Bladestorm: Nightmare" release date.

"Bladestorm: Nightmare" also adds a new character in the Nightmare world-Joan of Arc who is "barely recognizable with the evil aura she now exudes." Edward, the Black Prince and a kinder version of Joan of Arc appear in the Hundred Years' War World.
