Mattew Perry returns to make you laugh, but this time, he doesn't come with four other familiar face but with one other comedian, Thomas Lennon.

CBS revives a 1970s comedy series and refits the storyline for the 21st century, with big stars like former "Friends" superstar Matthew Perry and his "17 Again" co-star Thomas Lennon. First episode release date set on Feb. 19, following "The Big Bang Theory."

In a recent interview with CBS, former "Friends" star Matthew Perry shared bits and pieces of the upcoming "The Odd Couple" a day before the release date. He said, "I think that people thought I was going to play Felix because Chandler was more Felix-y, but in my life, if you know me, I'm much more of an Oscar."

The story of "The Odd Couple" revolves around Oscar Madison (Perry) and Felix Unger, portrayed by Thomas Lennon. The two have worked together on the 2009 film "17 Again" and have shown complete on-screen chemistry.

On the official site of CBS, "The Odd Couple stars Matthew Perry as endearing slob Oscar Madison and Thomas Lennon as uptight neat freak Felix Unger, two former college buddies who become unlikely roommates after the demise of their marriages."

The description continues, "It's not long after Oscar lets Felix move in that Oscar fears he's made a monumental mistake. However, despite how exasperated they make each other, these mismatched friends agree they can help each other move on from their divorces and somehow make their crazy living arrangement work."

"The Odd Couple" has been developed for various formats as in the stage, a film and even as a cartoon. CBS picked up on the idea of remaking the series, following Matthew Perry's pitch as he himself has been a fan of "The Odd Couple." Early last year, CBS ordered the production of "The Odd Couple" that is to be co-written Matthew Perry himself, and Joe Keenan. A few months after, a 13-episode series was in development.
