"Chandelier" hitmaker Sia showed her face at an Oscars 2015 after party last Sunday!
The camera shy singer previously decided to hide her face from the media even when "Chandelier" became one of the most popular songs of 2014. However, she decided to ditch her usual blonde bob wig for one music legend's Oscars 2015 party last Sunday.
According to Page Six, the usually hidden singer attended Elton John's annual Academy Awards shindig with her hair pulled back to reveal her face.
She mingled with celebrities wearing yellow floral dress shirt and leggings and even smiled at the cameras taking photos of her with other stars. She posed with singer Nicole Scherzinger and Heidi Klum, as well as Christian Louboutin.
The short-lived photo party of Sia showing her face eventually died down when the mysterious musician put her wig back on at the Vanity Fair after party. Stepping out with her husband, Erik Anders Land, the 39-year-old singer-songwriter wore a cream-colored overcoat with her entire face covered by her trademark wig.
The Grammy nominated singer chose to don wigs as well as sing with her back to the audience to keep her identity as private as she can.
So what made her happily pose for the camera last Sunday?
Perhaps that night's festive atmosphere made the "Elastic Heart" singer decide to show the media a bit of her private life.
According to People, the mysterious pop star had a traumatic experience with the public eye in the past. After being driven to addiction because of the pressure of performing, she decided to focus on writing songs instead.
"There's a negative side of being famous," one of Sia's close friends, co-producer Greg Kurstin reportedly said.
"She got to a place where she wanted to look out for her best health and what's best for her as a person. She wanted to be more in control of her life."
