In an ironic turn of events, Carter took to Twitter again to express his seemingly changed feelings for his former flame.

"Some s- I just don't get. Stop. Talking. About. It. ....I did," the "I Want Candy" singer posted on the microblogging site last Wednesday.

Was he talking about Hillary Duff's recent comment about his very public love declaration for her late last year?

The soon-to-be officially divorced singer and actress recently told Cosmopolitan Magazine that she found Carter's Twitter posts "ridiculous."

"Him reaching out through social media? It's ridiculous!" She told the magazine.

She also previously told Buzzfeed that they "don't know each other" and admitted that she found the whole thing weird.

Suspicions of Hilary Duff and Aaron Carter's Twitter feud was further fed when Duff posted a seemingly veiled post aimed at her ex as well.

"Hey lil tweety birds. Ya brighten my day! Every last one of Ya. Through thick and thin it seems your all ways pullin for me," she tweeted.

The former couple dated way back when they were just 13 but that didn't stop the 27-year-old Carter to declare his intention of winning the love of his life back now.

"Don't be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever.. Like me," he declared via Twitter a year ago. "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think."

He also shared his intention to "fix the relationship I had with the love of my life" back to ET Online last April, adding that he wasn't giving up on Duff "ever."

However, he changed his mind last September.

"I don't know Hilary either. She don't know me and I don't know her. I just need to shut up now about it. I think it's time," he told Wenn at that time.
