'Arrow' Season 3 Episode Guide: Oliver Is Vulnerable; More And More People Will Learn The Archer's Secret

In recent "Arrow" season 3 episode guide, it was discussed how Ra's al Ghul's decision to choose Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) as his heir will affect other characters.

His daughter Nyssa (Katrina Law) will feel betrayed while Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) is furious that the Emerald Archer decided to keep Malcolm Merlyn alive despite the fact that the latter orchestrated the murder of her sister Sarah.

However, these girls are not the only one who will suffer from recent events, even the Green Arrow himself will have a hard time.

At the recently held PaleyFest, "Arrow" cast answered questions surrounding the upcoming episodes including how Oliver feels after being chosen by the Head of the Demon to be his heir.

According to Amell, the Green Arrow could be at his weak point right now. In his "Arrow" season 3 episode guide, the Canadian actor said what he and Ra's al Ghul talked about is more than just an offer. It is a demand.

"It's very interesting to have a big bad this year who is now very invested in Oliver staying alive," Amell said. "If you know Ra's al Ghul and you know his tactics...you realize that it's an offer in name only. It's not really an offer. It's a demand. If Oliver says no, there are going to be incredibly dire consequences."

The actor added Oliver Queen might not be at his best right now, mentally speaking and that will produce consequences for him and his team.

"It really actually does force him to really look within himself," Amell explained. "We see a very different Oliver, a more introspective, a more vulnerable and, in a lot of ways, defeated version of the character as we move towards the last portion of our episodes."

As for Oliver's romance with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), Amell hinted that Green Arrow can do nothing now that a rival comes in for her.

"If there's going to be a moment where Oliver finally decides to let go, so to speak, and get into the land of the living, then the object of his affection would most likely be Felicity, but she's spoken for," Amell said referring to Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh).

For Rickards, she thinks it is time for Felicity to explore other options.

"She needs the time to go and explore other options. She needs that nourishment and support and love. Oliver does want that for her."
