The cast and crew of "Mission Impossible 5" have finally wrapped up filming despite the delays and the pressure of having an earlier release date.
Christopher McQuarrie made the announcement on Twitter.
"That's a wrap. 1000 thanks to our incredible cast and crew. You truly achieved the impossible," he wrote.
His followers were excited to hear the great news. "Congratulations, sir. Now comes the fun part," one Twitter user wrote.
The 46-year-old director also revealed the latest updates on "Misson Impossible 5."
"After a peaceful 12-hour vacation, post-production begins. Summer is coming..." McQuarrie wrote on Twitter. The fifth installment of "Mission Impossible" was supposed to hit the theaters on December 25, but it was moved on July 31.
It was also previously reported that Christopher McQuarrie and the mystery writer had to stop filming so that they can think of a good ending for the sequel.
It seems that they have finally found the perfect ending because filming has wrapped up. That's great news, but when will fans see the official trailer of "Mission Impossible 5"?
Screen Rant reported that that MI5 trailer may be shown during the premiere of "Furious 7."
The seventh installment of "Fast and Furious" will hit the theaters on April 3 so fans will only have to wait a few more weeks before they get to see Tom Cruise and the rest of the team on the big screen again.
The website also revealed that the official trailer hasn't been classified yet, but the main concern of the director seems to be the post-production more than the teaser.
During a Q & A with Christopher McQuarrie on Twitter, one follower asked him when the first trailer will be released.
"It's coming. Soon. Promise," he replied.
Tom Cruise will reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in "Mission Impossible 5." He will be joined by Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Monica Bellucci and Sean Harris.
