It took many years to make the Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight happen. After more than half a decade of excruciating waiting and negotiations, the two camps finally agreed to fight, not on social media but on the boxing ring. The mega bout will take place on May 2 at the MGM Grand Arena.

Many fans believe everything have been ironed out for the Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight. However, with this latest news, it seems people need to hold up their excitement for it. Reports revealed that the American fighter is being accused of chocking his own teenage son.

A Mirror report surfaced saying Floyd Mayweather Jr strangled his 19-year old son Devion Cromwell during a row last year. Devion is Pretty Boy's son to Melissa Brim who he dated from early 1990s to 2000s. TMZ also reported that Mayweather got mad on his son after the latter told him "You're not my father."

The kid is being encouraged by his relatives to file a lawsuit which if will go into trial could derail the Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight.

"We are desperate for Devion to do what's right and bring Floyd to justice," one relative of Cromwell said to The Mirror. "He controls our whole family through fear and money. It's only a matter of time before it happens again or, God forbid, anything worse."

This is not the first time Floyd Mayweather Jr. got involved in an abuse case. Melissa Brim filed a lawsuit against the professional boxer in 2001 for "brutal and unprovoked attack." The attack was allegedly repeated five months after. In 2002, Mayweather Jr was charged with two counts of domestic battery, received a suspended six-month jail sentence, a $3,000 fine, 48 hours of community service and two days of house arrest.

Is the allegation true? Will it affect Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao Fight?
