'The Americans' Season 3 Episode Guide: Nina Sergeevna Is Not Safe Yet; Stan Beeman To Grow Suspicious Of The Jennings Family

The condition of Annet Mahendru's Nina Sergeevna has somehow improved after the few latest episodes of "The Americans" season 3.

From getting imprisoned by her own government for leaking information in favor of the United States, she is now working for the Soviet Union (again). She can now move freely and making baby steps to survive.

However, according to "The Americans" season 3 episode guide from Mahendru herself, fans should not be too complacent. Nina's place in KGB is not safe yet.

"She's shedding her layers," Mahendru said in an interview with Maxim when asked for "The Americans" season 3 episode guide regarding her character.

"In prison, she does open up for the first time and then betrays Evie. Nina has to be so careful and so honest in a weird way to survive. She can't afford to ever make a mistake, she can't be a goof. She's never just doing one thing, she's operating on a bunch of levels at once. It's exhausting. Sort of like family dinner. But not really."

The possibility of Nina getting killed off should not also be disregarded as Mahendru said even she is still in the dark with regards to the fate of her character.

"They (EPs) don't tell anyone anything. It's very, you know, hush-hush. I know that I could die any episode. I've kind of gotten used to that."

Meanwhile, in a separate "The Americans" season 3 episode guide from the show's developers, lead characters Philip and Elizabeth Jennings (Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell) might need to watch their backs as one person close to them will grow suspicious.

According executive producer Joe Weisberg, Nina's former lover and FBI officer Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) will feel uneasy with the changes in Jennings' house following Paige's shocking discovery of her parents' real roots.

"Though Paige is seeing everything differently ... Stan has no reason to suspect his neighbors at this point. But it's certainly changing the dynamic in that family and if you know anything about Stan, you know that he's got pretty good radar," Weisberg told New York Post.

There are only two "The Americans" season 3 episodes left in the FX TV series. One is "I am Abassin Zadran" to air on April 15 and "March 8, 1983" which will air on April 22.
