Microsoft released its first Windows 10 Technical Preview in February which only supported six Lumia smartphones.
After two months the Redmond tech giant released its second build, called Build 10051. Hence, supports over 35 Lumia handsets, but will not include Lumia 930, Lumia Icon and 640 XL, BGR
reported.
"Unfortunately there is an issue with scaling on certain devices (930, Icon, and 640XL) which makes the UI too small to be usable, and we need to add code to support new scaling thresholds for these devices,'' said Gabriel Aul, engineering General manager at Microsoft.
''That work is underway, so we expect to see support for them in the near future. I know some of you will be disappointed, but trust me that you want us to make that fix before we send it out to you.''
According to the IB Times, Build 10051 will be exclusively available for the members of the Fast release ring of the Windows Insider program for the mean time.
Members can download the Windows 10 Technical Preview once their device is ready to run the program, and just go to Settings>> Update & recovery >>Phone update>> Check for the updates.
Microsoft also noted on its official blog that the server errors have been fixed and members of the Fast ring should be updated anytime.
''If you don't see an update, keep trying,'' the post continued.
The new update brings new versions of several apps such as Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar, Phone, Messaging, People, and Maps. It will also feature an early version of the Project Spartan browser, however it won't run as a default browser and will run along with IE 11.
