After a series of movies with Marvel, will "Avengers" cast Scarlett Johansson finally have her "Black Widow" standalone movie?

While Marvel remained mum about the highly anticipated film, Johansson already expressed her desire to star in her a movie starring her character as "Black Widow" during an interview with  Screen Rant.

"You know, there's always the possibility in this kind of Marvel madness that, you know, anything could happen, and a lot of these spin-offs are really like fan-driven, you know, kind of audience-driven, which is great because if the audience wants it, then you know that it's built in in a way and people are excited to see it," she said referring to the movie.

Adding, "Not feeding them they're not into. So if the audience wants something like that and we could really, you know, carve out a great story for her that's a continuation of what we already know, then I'd be totally for it. I mean, she's definitely got -the material is there, you know, and I'm, you know, I'm always willing to slip the suit back on and power through it, you know, if people want to see it."

It's been said that the introduction of "Black Widow's" life from "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" was a hint that the standalone film is going to happen sometime in the future.

Scarlett Johansson's character was first introduced at "Iron Man 2" as Natasha Romanoff a S.H.I.E.L.D agent who later bacame Black Widow in the "Avengers."

Meanwhile, if "Avengers" cast Scarlett Johansson is ready for her "Black Widow" film, her co-star Jeremy Renner is said to be contended on becoming a part of the ensemble.

During an interview with MTV the 44-year-old action star confessed that he had no desire of starring in a standalone film for Marvel.

"I'm happy to be the ensemble," Renner said when asked if a standalone film featuring his character Hawkeye is possible. "I'm not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means."

Adding, "I think he's a utility guy that can bounce around into other people's universes a little bit, especially like 'Cap 3.'"
