Two of the most successful professional boxers of recent generation are about to meet in the ring.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight is about to happen and both boxing and non-boxing fans are excited about this.

Why won't people be? The public has been waiting for them to go face to face in the boxing ring as they are regarded as the best in their craft. Mayweather Jr remains undefeated in 47 matches while Pacquiao has conquered eight divisions.

Some people think Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight should have taken place 5-6 years ago since they were still at their prime during that period.

Today, they are still in the top class but their age makes their fans somewhat feel pessimistic. First, some are not that convinced it will be an exciting fight and second, some are negative on the idea of a rematch.

It is not just the public who thinks a Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight rematch will not happen, even Top Rank CEO Bob Arum who is largely involved to make the fight of the century happen. However, he has a completely different reason.

"I don't know," Arum told Mlive's David Mayo when asked if there will be a rematch of the Floyd Mayweather Jr - Manny Pacquiao fight. "I don't know, because again, Floyd would have to decide that for himself, and so would Manny."

According to reports, one main reason why it took a while to complete the deals for Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Manny Pacquiao fight was the lengthy discussions between the parties involved. Like who will be the main broadcaster, where and when is the fight going to happen and how much the two players should get from the total earnings.

In their fight on May 2 at the MGM Grand Arena, Floyd Mayweather Jr will get 60% while Manny will get 40% from the total profit which is expected to hit at least $300 million. This number is expected to go up through the pay-per-view, sponsorship and ticket fights.
