'Daredevil' TV Series Connected To ABC's 'Agents Of SHIELD?' Executive Producer Jeph Loeb Speaks

Marvel's "Daredevil" TV series on Netflix instantly won public and critics alike since its release in the streaming site.

Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 97% approval rating, commending it for its "tight adherence to its source material's history, high production quality, and a no-nonsense dramatic flair."

Meanwhile, Variety credits the show's success to the fact that it is with Netflix, allowing its writers and directors to go darker and edgier. The publication also mentioned that the show starring Charlie Cox in the title role only helped Netflix increase its "must-have quotient with a fiercely loyal segment of consumers."

"Daredevil" TV series' arrival on TV is beneficial for Netflix and comic book fans, that is the plan. One show fans expect to reap benefits from it too is "Agents of SHIELD."

This Marvel show from ABC has been around for almost two seasons. However, it still having a hard time with ratings and critical reception. With the fact that both "Daredevil" and "Agents of SHIELD" are under Marvel Studios, fans can't help but ask, are they connected? If that so, then maybe the ABC superhero TV series will get its much needed lift.

Jeph Loeb, executive producer of "Daredevil" TV series, talked to Comic Book Resources and was asked that very question. His answer though does not really sound great, at least for now.

"Well, as we like to say, it's always connected -- or #itsallconnected -- but the reality of it is, I think, what we want to do is let this grow and blossom and see what it is, hope that it's cool, hope that people like it," the "Daredevil" TV series EP said.

"There's a couple of little Easter eggs where you do see things that clearly exist in both worlds. There's one right at the beginning. But at the end of the day, it's not about doing that sort of thing. It's about just making sure that you see the connectivity without it disturbing the story. Joss Whedon said it best, "We want to have Easter eggs, but we don't want to have an Easter egg farm.""

Will it be a good decision to connect "Daredevil" TV series to "Agents of SHIELD"?
