Fans who have heard Ed Sheeran's "Photograph" hoped to see a music video to accompany the emotional song. The British crooner is about to make that wish come true.

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter recently announced on Twitter that he will be releasing a music video for his next single soon and it's going to be "special."

"My next single from multiply is Photograph," he announced. "Wait til you see the video, it's a special one. Very excited."

With such emotional lyrics, the video might just be another tear-jerker.

Sheeran already tried his hand at ballroom dancing for his worldwide hit love song, "Thinking Out Loud." What surprise do you think will he come up with in the upcoming music video? Will he try acting now?

Ed Sheeran's "Photograph" is the latest single to come out of his album, "X" (Multiply). It came at the heels of his biggest hits, "Sing", "Don't", and "Thinking Out Loud."

Billboard described the Grammy-nominated singer's latest single as "an acoustic love ballad." The track, which Sheeran co-wrote with Johnny McDaid, was produced by Jeff Bhasker, Emile Haynie and Tyler Sam Johnson.

On the other hand, the red-haired acoustic star called the track "weird" while introducing it at the VH1 Storytellers last November.

"I was making a Lego Star Wars thing and Johnny was writing an email to his sister. He had this loop," Sheeran reportedly revealed to the audience.

"I started humming, and then he put a beat behind it," he continued, "and we finished the song within about half an hour and didn't really know what we'd done until the next day when we listened back to it. And then we recorded it."

No specific date was given for the actual music video release of Ed Sheeran's "Photograph."

In the meantime, watch his live performance of the song for Capital FM here.
